Toyah released her hotly-anticipated new studio album, In The Court Of The Crimson Queen in September 2008. In The Court Of The Crimson Queen is the first ever Toyah studio album to be given a digital release simultaneously through iTunes. It follows last autumn's digital single Latex Messiah (Viva La Rebel In You) which reached number 6 in the iTunes Plus Rock Charts. The album was released digitally via iTunes on Monday 15 September, with a deluxe digital booklet. The 10-track album is written by Toyah Willcox and Simon Darlow, long time collaborators responsible for Toyah’s classic 1980s hit singles Rebel Run and Don’t Fall In Love (I Said). Key tracks on In The Court Of The Crimson Queen include the anthemic Sensational - JUST PLAYLISTED BY BBC RADIO LONDON,  Love Crazy (Iggy Pop meets Girls Aloud), the YouTube hit Heal Ourselves and the soaring, rock ballad Legacy.   Toyah will perform the album track Lesser God in the nationwide UK tour of Vampires Rock, in which she guest stars as The Devil Queen. Vampires Rock opens on 12 September at the Majestic Theatre, Retford and tours 42 venues nationwide until December 2008.
